"to move through kindergarten curriculum at a slower pace, with more time for play, and more room for creative expression"

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) acts as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten. Children in the TK program will work towards similar goals as a kindergarten program, but at a modified pace and classroom environment. Based on CA standards for kindergarten, TK includes all the academic content areas presented through literature-based thematic teaching. Each day will allow students opportunities for direct instruction, repeated practice, and free exploration. And with a longer school day and a modified pace, TK offers wonderful, enriched experiences in art, music, and science as well.

TK is ideal for children who are 'young fives' or who simply need more time to develop socially, emotionally, and academically. Transitional Kindergarten strives to create confident, eager learners with a strong foundation for a successful school career.
